How I teach
Finding the actual gap
A student who is stuck on related rates is usually stuck on algebra from two years earlier, so I work backwards to find where the understanding first broke down and rebuild from there, which means the next unit does not turn into the same problem again.
Working through problems together
You work through the problems while I follow along and step in where it is needed, because watching someone else solve a question tends to leave you feeling like you understand something that you cannot yet do on your own.
Covering the full range
Grade 7 arithmetic through second year engineering math is one continuous progression rather than a set of separate subjects, so the material can be connected across years instead of restarting each September.

Which courses do you cover?+
Every Ontario math and science course from Grade 7 through Grade 12, all streams and not just university preparation, plus first and second year engineering math, physics, chemistry, and programming. That is 44 courses in total; the full list is on the courses page.
Do you follow the Ontario curriculum?+
Yes. Sessions are built around the expectations your course is assessed on, and around your teacher’s handouts and past tests where you have them. For university courses we work from your syllabus and problem sets.
Online or in person?+
Online by default, over video call with a shared whiteboard, which works well and keeps scheduling flexible across America/Toronto. Ask when you reach out if you are looking for something else.
My test is in three days. Is that too late?+
No, but be honest about it when you write. A short intensive block before a test is a real thing I do. It just needs different planning than a standing weekly slot.
Do you work with parents or directly with the student?+
Both. For students under 18 I keep a parent in the loop on scheduling and progress; the sessions themselves are one-on-one with the student.

Worked out directly once we agree on a package. Nothing is charged automatically through this site, and there is no account to create.
